About Changala Aussies
Having aussies is a way of life. I couldn’t imagine my world without them. I keep a small breeding program to ensure quality dogs and the most ideal environment to raise them in. I’m incredibly biased, but nothing compares to an aussie. My passion for the breed started when a stray standard aussie showed up on our farmland when I was a junior in high school. My favorite breed before I met Sarah were Border Collies, but nothing compares to the intellect, devoted loyalty and soft nature the aussie possesses. After Sarah passed away I purchased my first mini aussie Trudy, and my passion for the breed has grown since. I have now been raising Miniature American Shepherds for 14 years. My life revolves around the daily interactions I have with my pack on our dryland wheat farm in California's Central Valley.
I like to let my videos and photos speak for themselves as many breeders lack in that department. I think it's imperative to be transparent, honest and forthcoming and showcase the ethics and necessity for preservation as dog breeding has a poor reputation from overall lack of education, inhumane practices and constant scammers. My motivation to improve the quality of the breed and educate pet owners continues to grow. I'm always learning how to improve my kennel and the overall experience and advocacy of pet ownership. I post videos daily on my Instagram story as it is much easier to immediately upload a video taken that day. I personally interview people interested in bringing home one of my puppies.
